Ottawa County United Way just launches their new community campaign during their national Day of Caring.
The program is all about the community and working together. Every year from September through March, Greater Ottawa County United Way runs a community campaign to raise money in order to improve education, financial stability, health and other needs for the people in the community.
All donations they receive go back to the community through over 50 programs run by 44 local nonprofit agencies, and United Way programs like Lakeshore Housing Alliance, Students LIVE UNITED, and FamilyWize. All the money stays local, and directly helps about a quarter of the residents in Ottawa County.
Plus, for every $1 donation they get, the community gets $3.70 of community benefit.
