Charges issued after man allegedly used car to run over pedestrians

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Felony charges were issued after a man allegedly used his vehicle to run over three people in Grand Rapids this weekend.

Javier Cano-Monarrez, 32, faces three counts of assault with intent to murder, according to online jail records. The Kent County prosecutor’s office say the hit-and-run happened over the weekend, and that one of the victim involved was a pregnant woman.

Cano-Monarrez is due back in court September 27.
