GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Crews responded to a hazmat situation in downtown Grand Rapids Monday.

The incident happened on Bridge Street by the north parking lot of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum.

A waste hauler struck a fire hydrant on the street, causing its fuel tank to rupture. The fuel spilled almost directly into a storm drain.

There is no word how much fuel spilled before the situation was contained.
