It's another great weekend in West Michigan as the leaves change and the weather gets cooler preparing for Fall. Here's a list of a few family activities that are going on this weekend:
47th Annual Tulip City Gem and Mineral Show
We shared a bit of this event earlier this week, the Tulip City Gem and Mineral Club is hosting a field trips rock show at the Soccer Stop in Holland.
Dealers from far and wide will show off their gemstones and minerals. Kids can get in on the action too with great games.
It's happening Friday through Sunday, and admission is just $3 for adults.
Movies in the Park
A free family event in East Grand Rapids is happening this Saturday night with another Movie in the Park.
The family can watch “Cinderella” on a giant inflatable screen next to reeds lake. The film starts at dusk, and snacks will be available for purchase with proceeds benefiting the parks recreation and teen library programs.
The Dadtona 500 is a special event for dads with daughters. This year’s racing will be at Craig’s Cruisers in Wyoming and will have dads and their daughters racing for prizes.
The event includes their great buffet too! The event is sponsored by Bissell.
Michigan Irish Music Festival
Everybody is Irish this weekend in Muskegon as the 17th annual Michigan Irish Festival comes to town.
Three days full of festival fun and cold libations are waiting. A kids show, magic show, cloggers, and an incredible line up of live music for three days from today until Sunday. Children 12 and under are free. Daily rates are $10-$20
You can watch Tupelo, one of the band performing tonight, play some of their greatest hits from the Morning Mix.
