MUSKEGON, Mich. — A man is in custody after police say he admitted to injuring his girlfriend—a mother of three children—who later died from those injuries.
The incident started about 7:15 Sunday in the 1400 block of Jiroch Street, near Hackley Hospital. Police arrived to find a 22-year-old woman at the home with a head injury and cuts to her throat. She was taken to the hospital where she died.
Her boyfriend, a 29-year-old man, admitted to officers he caused her injuries, according to police. He has been taken into custody.
Neighbors tell FOX 17 the victim is Barbie Dailey, a mother of three children. Neighbors identified the suspect as Joshua Salyers, 29. Jail records show a Joshua Salyers is in custody on a charge of murder.
