HOLLAND, Mich. — Crews continued to search the waters of Lake Michigan near Holland State Park for the body of a teen believed to have drowned Wednesday.

Chris Mimis, 17, is still missing.  The body of Vincent Green, 14, was found Thursday afternoon.  Two other boys who were swimming with Mimis and Green were able to get out of the water.

The two were swimming inside the swim zone, but they are believed to have been swept out by a rip current to the right of the pier.  Wednesday and Thursday, red flags were posted to warn of dangerous swimming conditions.  Friday, conditions improved some and the DNR's yellow flag is flying today. Water temperatures Friday though are very cold.  Temperatures are hovering at about 48 degrees.

Conditions Friday were also better for divers with visibility now being up to 15 feet.  Crews from Ottawa County, Allegan County and state police used sonar in their search.  A state police helicopter also circled a large area Friday.

Family of Mimis is still making their way to Holland from Chicago. Family is also trying to raise funds for funeral expenses.
