WEST MICHIGAN — After many of us saw more than an inch of rain yesterday (and in some cases, more like two inches) a dry day would be a “breath of fresh air” for us. However with low pressure still situated over central Ohio as of this writing, we’ll still have to be on the look-out for some wrap-around showers through the day today.

Here’s a look at the surface map currently:

As you can see, a little rain is already occurring just to the east of Grand Rapids. With the heating of the day, more showers are expected to pop up. Future Track HD is very conservative with the coverage of showers this afternoon. Here’s a look at what it depicts:

In actuality, we’ll probably see more showers than what our model suggests. Still, it will be a dry day relative to yesterday with much lower rainfall totals on the order of a few tenths of an inch or less.

Dry weather is expected tomorrow, but a chance of showers and storms will return on Tuesday night.
