Caledonia Township starts new watering restrictions

CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Caledonia Township announced Monday that they are implementing new watering restrictions for certain odd/even days.

According to Caledonia Township Clerk Jennifer Venema, effective immediately, residents who have irrigation lines connected to the public water system should only water on odd days if their house number ends in an odd number. Those who have house numbers ending in even numbers should water on even days.

These restrictions are being implemented due to the prolonged dry heat that West Michigan has been facing recently.

If you have any further questions about the new restrictions, you are encouraged to contact Caledonia Township at  616-891-0070.

Temperatures in the Grand Rapids area will reach 90 starting Wednesday and will be in the 90s through the weekend, with only spotty chances of rain.
