Kalamazoo police arrest man for breaking into vehicle; recover stolen electronics

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A Kalamazoo man was arrested after police say they he broke into a vehicle.

Tuesday morning, Kalamazoo police went to the 2100 block of S Burdick about an individual seen breaking into a vehicle. Officers found the suspect leaving the area and followed him on foot. When an officer caught up with the suspect, he ran away. He was eventually caught and arrested.

Police searched his apartment and found stolen electronics from other victims.

The suspect has been identified only as a 32-year-old man from Kalamazoo. He was arrested for breaking and entering a motor vehicle, possession of burglary tools, and attempted resisting and obstructing a police officer.
