GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Two teenagers are charged with attempted murder in a drive-by shooting in Grand Rapids that injured another teen and a 4-year-old girl.
A 17-year-old boy was on a bike and the 4-year-old was on a sidewalk when they were shot Thursday by someone in an SUV. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Police say two teens, 16 and 17, were in custody Friday on attempted murder charges. They’ll appear in court next week. Another 16-year-old was arrested on a different charge.
Hours after the shooting, police found an SUV that matched the description of the one related to the shooting.
One person was arrested after the vehicle was located. Two others ran out of the vehicle and into a house in the 300 block of Pine Avenue NW.
Police surrounded the home for approximately four hours Thursday night before the last of the three arrests were made. The three suspects were rounded up by 10 p.m.
