HOLLAND, Mich. — The search for a missing Holland teen continued much of the day Monday along the Lake Michigan shoreline, but was suspended by the Coast Guard in the afternoon.  The Ottawa County Sheriff dive team continues to search.

Students and staff met Monday afternoon at Holland Christian High School to pray for Riley Hoeksema, who has been missing since Sunday evening.

Crews say that Hoeksema and another teen were on a Zodiac-style inflatable boat when it capsized after making a sharp turn.  Another boater pulled the other teen from the water.  Hoeksema reportedly never resurfaced.

The incident happened near the Spy Glass Condos around 8:30 p.m.

The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said they and the U.S. Coast Guard were searching the lake, using sonar and underwater robotic equipment.  The Coast Guard reported about 3:30 p.m they had suspended their search due to wave and weather conditions.
