SPRINGFIELD, Mich. — Police said two people were thrown from a motorcycle after crashing into a car in Calhoun County Sunday afternoon.
It happened around 3:50 p.m. on Michigan at Limit Street in the city of Springfield.
The motorcycle was driven by a 51-year-old man, according to a press release from the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office. His passenger, a 47-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with head injuries. Police said both were from Union City and neither of them were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash. The man was treated for minor injuries. Both were taken to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
The driver of the car, a 28-year-old woman and her passenger, a 27-year-old man suffered minor injuries. Both were from Battle Creek and were taken to Battle Creek Bronson Hospital for treatment.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
