Wednesday night storms knock power out in West Michigan

WEST MICHIGAN — Severe thunder storms crawled across West Michigan, and with them, come power outages.

Check the Consumers Energy Outage Map for the most up to date outage information.

The outages – according to the Outage Map – are mostly concentrated to counties on the lake shore.

Thousands of customers in Muskegon, Ottawa, and Allegan Counties are without power as of 12:30 a.m.

Estimated restoration times are still be determined for most of the area. One outage near the Fruitport area however was estimated at being restored around 2 a.m.

Just under 3,000 customers appear to be without power in West Grand Rapids as well.
