  1. People who live in downtown Grand Rapids could finally be getting a grocery store.

Rockford Construction announced it's working with Meijer to bring one to the west side.

It would be a mixed use Super Block project on a stretch of Bridge Street between Seward and Stocking.

Meijer isn't commenting yet, but Rockford Construction says the development would include a neighborhood grocery store, residential, retail, and office space with on-site parking.

The development will need additional tenants and funding incentives in the coming year.

2. If your kids are already looking for something to do on summer vacation, they can take part in a treasure hunt today!

The online educational company, Brain Chase, has hidden the key to a treasure chest containing $1,000 in a public library somewhere in Grand Rapids.

At 3 p.m. a riddle will be revealed on brainchase.com with clues pointing to the location of the hidden key.

The first child to locate the key will win the treasure.

Children must be between the ages of 6 and 16 to participate.

3. There's a huge party happening today, and it's going to the dogs.

The Bissell Pet Foundation is holding their annual Blocktail Party in Grand Rapids.

The foundation is expecting more than 800 people and their pets to come out to Mangiamo! on Lake drive.

It's all in an effort to raise money to support local animal welfare organizations. The goal for this year is to top the $500,000 organizers raised last year.

There will be food, entertainment, and an auction.

It's going on from 6-9 p.m., and there will be a limited number of tickets at the door.

If you buy online, your name will be on a "paid reservations" list at the check-in table.

4. Kalamazoo's four peregrine falcon chicks, which have just recently learned to fly, now have names.

They were selected Monday from more than 50 names suggested in the contest to name them sponsored each year by Fifth Third Bank.

The winning names are Arcadia, Checker, Strong, and Breeze.

The chicks hatched in April and were banded last month.

The bird's nesting box is located outside the bank building's 13th floor in downtown Kalamazoo.

5. Starbucks has a new Frappuccino.

It’s called the Double Double Fudge Bar Frappuccino.

It includes twice the amount of mocha sauce, as well as vanilla syrup, plus it has chocolate whipped cream.

The drink made its debut on Saturday, and will be available for the next few weeks.

This is the latest summer drink the coffee chain created, in addition to the S'mores and Caramel Waffle Cone Frappuccino.
