GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Grand Rapids Police issued a warning Friday about a recent fundraising scam.

According to a release, two young men have reportedly been going door to door in southeast Grand Rapids claiming to be raising donations for the Boys and Girls Clubs.    Police say the two claimed to be Ottawa Hills High School students.

The Boys and Girls Clubs do not “conduct door-to-door solicitation of funds,” a release from police says.

Police are asking anyone who believes they have been a victim of this scam or anyone with information about the suspects to contact them at 616-456-3400 or Silent Observer 616-774-2345.
