WEST MICHIGAN — The first Air Quality Advisory of the year is Monday. Forecasters at Michigan’s Department of Environmental Quality are calling for increased levels of ozone.
The air will be unhealthy for sensitive groups, like people with respiratory diseases such as asthma. The department is asking that those groups, as well as, active children and adults limit outdoor exposure.
During Air Quality Advisories avoid the following activities:
- Topping off your car when refueling
- Unnecessary driving
- Lawn mowing
- Charcoal grilling
