KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The youngest victim of a shooting spree from February is recovery from her latest surgery.
Abigail Kopf underwent surgery Friday morning to repair a portion of her skull that had been damaged during the February 20 shooting spree that left six people dead and another person wounded. Friday, surgeons inserted a 3D-printed plate to replace part of her skull that was missing from the shooting.
Family members posted Friday that Abbie had made it through the surgery and was in recovery, and thanked everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
Kopf was shot in the head and was almost declared dead on the night of the shootings. She was with four women who were killed at the Cracker Barrel restaurant in Texas Township. Jason Dalton is awaiting trial for the murders.
