MUSKEGON, Mich. — A woman involved in injuring a mall security guard learned her fate this week.
On Monday, Jalin Smith Walker was given between 20 months and 15 years behind bars after pleading no contest for her role in the crime.
It happened back in 2014 after a woman reportedly stole a pair of jeans from the Lakes Mall in Muskegon. The shoplifter then ran into the parking lot where Walker was waiting as a getaway driver. As she tried to drive away she dragged a security guard with her vehicle.
The shoplifter in that case got a year in jail.
The security guard suffered minor injuries.
