Boil water advisory lifted for Kalamazoo

Posted

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — A boil water advisory for a portion of Kalamazoo that included Borgess Hospital is now lifted.

A precautionary boil water advisory had been issued Thursday after the water system had a reduction in pressure due to a water main break along Gull Road between Humphrey Street and Riverview Drive, the city said.

On Saturday, the city tested the water for bacteria and determined it was safe to drink.

The impacted area was bordered by Riverview Drive on the west, Parchmount Avenue on the north, Nazareth Road to the east and Kenilworth Avenue to the south.
