KALAMAZOO, Mich. – A precautionary boil water advisory has been issued for a portion of Kalamazoo.
The city says that the water system had a reduction in pressure due to a water main break along Gull Road between Humphrey Street and Riverview Drive Thursday afternoon. There have been no confirmed tests showing coliform bacteria in the water supply, but the advisory was issued as a precaution.
The impacted area is bordered by Riverview Drive on the west, Parchmount Avenue on the north, Nazareth Road to the east and Kenilworth Avenue to the south.
Customers in the affected area can use bottled water or boil their tap water for two minutes before using for drinking or cooking. No precautionary measures are necessary for bathing.
