WEST MICHIGAN- A foggy beginning to this morning in many areas across West Michigan made for some difficult driving conditions and limited visibilities on the way to work Friday morning.
A weak cold front moving through the area early Friday morning will eventually get rid of the fog and cloud cover gradually throughout the day, but it will be a struggle to return to 60 degrees this afternoon.
A clear day is expected for Saturday behind that cold front, but we’ll turn our attention out west for the next storm system developing. This snap shot of projected conditions from Future Track HD shows a warm front developing in the midwest. This will be responsible for much warmer temperatures in our area Sunday, but also for rain chances to finish the weekend and begin next week.
This snapshot of the GFS forecast model by 7 PM Sunday shows the warmer air well into the upper portion of the mitten. However, there are some differences with position in regards to this front and where/when the precipitation will develop.
Right now, it looks like most of the weekend will remain dry, however, the possibility of rain will increase later on in the evening and overnight hours Sunday into Monday. Enjoy the dry portions of a relatively nice spring weekend!
