Spectrum Health Medical Group – Grand Rapids Football Club

Spectrum Health Medical Grouphas been named the preferred provider of medical and athletic training services for the Grand Rapids Football Club, the city's minor league soccer team.

Under the arrangement, SHMG's Olusanjo Adeoye, MD, will be the lead team physician. In addition, athletic trainers from SHMG Orthopedics and Sports Medicine will be available for injury prevention, management and treatment and will ensure seamless communication among players, doctors and others involved in the health care process.

SHMG Sports Medicine also is the preferred provider of medical services for the West Michigan Whitecaps and supplies athletic training and sports medicine services to the Grand Rapids Ballet, Davenport University and more than 20 area high schools.

Grand Rapids Football Club kicks off its second season on Friday, April 15, with a match against Grand Valley State University.
