WYOMING, Mich. -- A second teen has been charged as an adult in the murder of 16-year-old Michael White.
The family of Michael White attended the Friday arraignment of 15-year-old Quentin Schafer before heading to White's memorial service. They're hoping justice helps them get through the grieving process.
"I miss him, and I want the people that did this to him to pay, and I want him to have justice for what they did to him," Michael's sister Malorie White said.
Schafer, 15, was charged Friday with open murder in connection with White's death. According to court records, Schafer was last seen by witnesses with White and has made incriminating comments to another teen who was arrested in connection with White's murder. A weapon was also reportedly found and attributed to Schafer.
Carlos Delgado, 15, was also charged with open murder in the case earlier this week.
White was found beaten and stabbed in Lions Park March 19. He was a student at Wyoming High School.
Both suspects are expected back in court April 6 for their probable cause hearings.
