EAST LANSING, Mich. --  Tri-Unity Christian did not score in the final four minutes of the game and Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes finished the game on an 11-0 run and beat the Defenders 64-53 in a class D semifinal.

"It seemed like every time we had a chance to extend the lead they would make a big play and match us up, it's hard dealing with young men, we haven't showed that all during the tournament so I was probably as surprised as everybody else" Tri-Unity Christian head coach Mark Keeler said.

Junior Collin Rosendall led the Defenders with 17 points, senior Javi Cuevas chipped in 12.  Our Lady was led by Devin Senerius with 17 points and 12 rebounds.  The Lakers out rebounded Tri-Unity Christian, 37-15.

Cuevas and fellow senior Will Otole played their final high school game at Tri-Unity Christian, but they made a lot of fond memories in their four years.

It's great memories. I remember my freshman year saying I wanted to get back here and it took me a long time to get back but we made it back and its been fun" Cuevas said.  Its been a great season, I'm going to look back and enjoy the season with my teammates, they are pretty much my brothers, it was a great year."

Tri-Unity Christian finishes the season 20-6.
