SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Nine first-quarter turnovers and 58% shooting from their opponent in the first half were too much for Grand Valley State to overcome on Wednesday night, as their season ended with a 67-47 loss to Alaska Anchorage in the Division II national semifinals.
The Lakers (26-10) were playing in their second Final Four in program history — and the first since winning the national championship during the 2005-2006 season.
Taylor Parmley led GVSU with 13 points. Lindsay Baker scored 9 and Taylor Lutz and Piper Tucker added 8 apiece for the Lakers.
