ST. JOSEPH TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A man died following a house fire on Monday evening in Berrien County.
It happened just before 6:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Township.
The St. Joseph Charter Township Police Department said Anthony Laratta, 41, was found dead inside a home at 1060 Wedgewood Drive.
Police said fire crews attempted to enter the home when they first arrived, but couldn’t due to heavy smoke.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
