WEST MICHIGAN — Spring began at 12:30 this morning, but with low temperatures in the 20s and afternoon highs only expected to reach the lower to middle 40s it will feel more like winter today. This is nothing unusual, however, as our long-term average high and low are 46°/28° for this date in Grand Rapids.
In fact, one could argue that we’re due for a cool stretch of weather here in West Michigan. So far, March 2016 is running 6.7° above the long-term average in Grand Rapids, highlighted by an unseasonably warm 71° day on March 8th.
Instead of the “cool” stretch of weather that we might be due for, temperatures will once again turn mild as we head into the upcoming workweek. Although tomorrow’s low and high look about average for this time of year, highs around 50° and lows as warm as the 40s are coming!
