The Detroit Red Wings’ first overall pick from the 2013 NHL Draft is on the cusp of his team debut.
Anthony Mantha was recalled to Detroit from the Grand Rapids Griffins on Monday and is expected to be in the Red Wings’ lineup on Tuesday in Philadelphia against the Flyers.
Mantha is in the midst of his best season as a pro, tallying 45 points (21 goals, 24 assists) for the Central Division-leading Griffins this season.
