MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — A faculty member with Central Michigan University is on administrative leave after child pornography was allegedly found on their computer.
University officials only confirm that a faculty member from the journalism department was placed on leave and that the university is cooperating with authorities.
CMU police Lieutenant Cameron Wassman confirmed with FOX 17 News that a search warrant was issued Thursday with ties to a criminal investigation involving child pornography on a faculty member’s computer. “Questionable material” was found and further investigations will be conducted.
No arrests have been made at this time, nor have any suspects been named.
