WEST MICHIGAN– We are T-minus two weeks until the official start of spring, yet spring is already in the air.

MonTempsTemperatures Monday morning warmed into the upper 50s by 11 a.m. in South Haven and Three Rivers.

Michigan is only seeing a hint of the warm temperatures. The heat wave is actually staying just south of Michigan. Iowa, Missouri, and parts of Indiana and Illinois will have a good shot at highs in the 70s for Monday afternoon.

The only caveat with the warm weather is the chance for rain and thunderstorms scattered through the 3-day outlook. Tuesday morning light showers will pop up along the lakeshore.

Wednesday will be a rainy day with showers firing up first thing at 7 a.m. Thunderstorms are possible Wednesday and Thursday, especially if the temperatures stay warm. Warm temperatures provide the lift needed for a isolated storm.

Overnight Wednesday widespread rain will move though. The rain will slowly taper off through Thursday.
