WASHINGTON (AP/WXMI) — Five more states are weighing in on the 2016 presidential race today with caucuses and primaries.
On the Republican side, the four remaining candidates will participate in caucuses in Maine, Kansas, and Kentucky, and also a primary in Louisiana. Donald Trump is currently leading the pack, raking in 329 delegates from past contests. Ted Cruz follows with 231, and Marco Rubio in third with 110 delegates. John Kasich falls last with 25 delegates.
The two remaining Democrats are also facing off caucuses in Nebraska and Kansas, and a primary in Louisiana. So far, Hillary Clinton leads Bernie Sanders 608 delegates and 458 superdelegates to his 432 delegates and 22 superdelegates.
The next election will take place Tuesday, this time in Michigan, Hawaii, Idaho, and Mississippi.
