BCPD: Suspect arrested for breaking and entering

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Police have taken a teenager in custody in connection to a breaking and entering complaint.

According to Officers, it happened just after 9:30 a.m. at a home in the first block of Inn Road.

Police were following up on a complaint.

A teenage boy exited the house and climbed onto the roof to avoid officers. He then climbed to the top of a neighbor’s roof and threatened to commit suicide by jumping.

Police say after an hour of negotiating, the teenager climbed down and surrendered.

No one was injured.

The teenager was taken into custody for breaking and entering, resisting and obstructing officers, as well as existing juvenile court orders.
