KENTWOOD, Mich. — Police say a 3-year-old boy accidentally shot his mother in the head on Saturday.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at a home in Bailey’s Grove around 2:40 p.m.
According to dispatch, upon arrival the mother had a gunshot wound to the head. She was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The mother’s name has not been released.
The case is still under investigation.
