BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A man is in custody after he crashed his vehicle and tried running away from police early Sunday morning.
Battle Creek Police attempted to stop a vehicle near Lincoln Hills and Eastway around 2:20 a.m.
Police said the driver of the vehicle tried to flee but crashed into a pole, then continued to drive for several miles. Michigan State Police later joined the pursuit.
The driver was later arrested after crashing his vehicle into a cornfield.
The suspect was treated for minor injuries and was arrested.
Several officers were also treated for minor injuries from the accident.
