NEW YORK — A crane collapsed onto cars in front of a building in New York on Friday morning, killing one person and injuring at least two others, according to WPIX.
Reports of the fallen crane at 40 Worth Street came in around 8:24 a.m. Friday.
One person died at the scene. Two others were being evaluated at the scene, according to EMS.
According to the NYC Fire Wire, the person who died at the scene was inside their vehicle when the crane collapsed.
The Office of Emergency Management tweeted to expect traffic due to a “construction accident.”
Worth Street is closed between Church Street and West Broadway.
