IONIA, Mich. -- Some good and unexpected news for the Ionia family that escaped carbon monoxide poisoning Thursday.

Arctic Heating & Cooling announced that they would donate a new furnace to the Smith family after discovering that their previous one was responsible for the carbon monoxide scare.

The Smiths managed to get out of their house Thursday after the kids started exhibiting some strange symptoms. They were alerted only when one of the children started screaming after falling out of bed.

Arctic Heating & Cooling went to the home Friday to get measurements of the home. They said that they'd also donate two carbon monoxide monitors to the family.
