SAN DIEGO, Calif. — An active shooter was reported Tuesday at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, according to FOX 5 News.
The Associated Press reports that as of 1:30 p.m., the Navy says initial inspection at San Diego medical center found no sign of a gunman or shooting.
The Navy says they are doing a second sweep of the building. There have been no injuries and there has been no sign of a shooter.
The center earlier posted on Facebook that the shooter was reported in Building 26.
“All occupants are advised to run, hide or fight. All non-emergency response personnel are asked to stay away from the compound,” the post reads.
Schools in the area were placed on lockdown, according to FOX 5.
