BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Two 12-year-old boys were caught with stolen property after police responded to a break-in alarm Monday evening.

Shortly before 9 PM, Battle Creek police were called to a business in the 700 block of Capital Avenue SW on a report of a break-in. Upon arrival, officers discovered a window had been broken.

Two boys were spotted in the area and ran when approached by an officer. During the chase, police say that the suspects threw phones. The pair split – one of them entering a house on Eldred Street – before being caught.
