DETROIT, Mich. — Dozens of schools in the Detroit Public School District closed on Wednesday morning due to a massive amount of teacher sick-outs.

The teachers are continuing their protests of poor working conditions by calling in sick to work.  The sick-outs have been going on for days.

According to Fox 2 News in Detroit, at least 86 schools had closed for the day.  Wednesday’s sick-outs coincide with President Obama’s planned visit to the North American International Auto Show.  Teachers are planning to march to the Cobo Center and protest.
