BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Four firefighters were trapped after a fire truck tipped over on the way to a scene.
Police arrived around 1:15 Sunday afternoon near Battle Creek avenue where the truck toppled on the way to a house fire on North Washington Avenue.
The trapped firefighters suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital for further treatment.
Police believe icy road conditions were to blame.
According to a release, the fire truck didn't damage other vehicles or property. Traffic is being directed around the scene.
Fire officials said the truck has suffered serious damage but the extent of that damage is unknown.
The house fire the truck was headed to has been cleared.
