Two teens arrested in Holland Twp. home invasion

HOLLAND TWP., Mich. – Two teens have been arrested for a home invasion and auto theft in Holland Township.

The crime happened on Monday at about 1:30am, when the 17-year-old and 18-year-old allegedly broke into a home in the 600 block of Butternut Drive.  The resident was at home, asleep, when the two broke in.  They stole two cell phones and car keys to a 2003 Buick which was parked next to the residence. They then took the car as well.

The car was found later on Monday in the 600 block of Commerce Court.

Detectives made contact with the teens on Tuesday and they were arrested.  They are being held on charges of 1st degree Home Invasion and Unlawful Driving Away of an Auto.

Their identities will be released after their arraignment.
