MUSKEGON TWP, Mich. — Police said a man died following a car crash after leaving his home to go to work.
Muskegon Township Police responded to the accident around 8:35 Sunday morning. Witnesses said Paul Kleyn of Dalton Township, 51, was driving south on US-31 near the Muskegon river flats.
Kleyn was in the far right lane when he drifted left across all three lanes, hit a guardrail on the east side of the highway and then rolled the vehicle twice, police said.
Police said he died at the scene and was the only one inside the vehicle. No other vehicles were involved.
Kleyn’s family told police he had just left their home and was traveling to work in Holland.
An autopsy is scheduled, with the accident still under investigation.
