KALAMAZOO COUNTY, Mich. – A Kalamazoo man died late Thursday night after being hit outside his own vehicle that was stopped on I-94.

The incident happened about 10:30pm on the westbound side of I-94 near the 86 Mile Marker near Galesburg.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff says that 49-year-old Dana Neal was in front of his car, which was in the left lane of I-94. Another vehicle hit the rear of the stopped vehicle, pushing it into him.  Comstock and Galesburg Fire Rescue tried to revive the Neal at the scene, but the efforts were not successful.

We’ll have more details when they become available.
