PIERSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A stopped Montcalm County Sheriff’s Department cruiser was hit by a pick-up truck while a deputy was investigating a separate crash along US-131.
The cruiser was struck at about 9:52 p.m. Nov. 21 near the Kendaville Road overpass, according to a release from the sheriff’s department. It was parked and had its emergency lights activated when the driver of a pick-up truck lost control of their vehicle and crashed.
The deputy was not inside the cruiser at the time of the crash and no one was injured, according to a release.
