GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — US-131 at 28th Street is reopened after a semi overturned blocking southbound lanes Saturday afternoon, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
Southbound US-131 at 28th Street was closed for about an hour after the semi truck flipped on its side around 4:30 pm. Traffic could be seen backed up for several miles as police worked to re-route vehicles off the highway and around the accident.
Crews were able to return the flipped semi onto its wheels around 5:30 Saturday evening.
It is unclear what caused the accident or if there are any injuries.
