FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Two Michigan State Police troopers suffered minor injuries when their patrol vehicle was hit on I-696.

The officers were completing a traffic stop and were parked on the shoulder of the highway in Farmington Hills when their vehicle was hit by another driver.

MSP is using the photo of the damaged cruiser as a reminder that, by law, drivers should move over one lane to give emergency vehicles on the side of the road space.  The law applies to police, fire, rescue, ambulance, wrecker and road service vehicles.
