COURTLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A child is in the hospital after a crash in Kent County.

Deputies said it happened just before 9 p.m. Saturday night at the intersection of 13 Mile Road and Myers Lake Avenue.

According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Department, the driver of a Volvo SUV ran a stop sign and hit a Chevy Tahoe SUV with two adults and three children inside.

A 10-year-old boy was ejected from the truck and suffered a head injury.
