BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Hartford woman is dead after being hit by a Benton Township police cruiser Sunday.
The crash happened in the 1200 block of Pipestone Road about 9:00pm.
Police say that Patrolman Eugene Anderson was responding to a domestic disturbance when he hit the 48-year-old woman who was crossing the street. She was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as Kimberly Bedford.
Anderson is on administrative leave while an internal investigation takes place.
