CLEVELAND (WJW) — As college costs soar, more students are depending on the kindness of complete strangers to raise tuition money by turning to crowdfunding sites.
According to the site GoFundMe, educational funding is one of the most popular categories. This year, nearly 130,000 educational funding accounts have been created. And people are responding: more than $20 million has been raised through those accounts.
