GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Becca Guyette joined the ArtPrize team as education manager in March and says she is "really excited."
As education manager she now oversees "Education Days" and anticipates 13,000 kids will participate this year. Schools all over West Michigan take their students to ArtPrize on field trips.
"We serve early childhood all the way through K through 12th grades," Guyette said.
But this year, there's something new brewing in the ArtPrize hub. It's called "ArtPrize Labs."
It'll take place every Saturday during the big event. Guyette said both children and their families can have a hands-on experience with the art.
"You come down to the hub. It'll be right outside of Pop Up Park, and we'll have four to five different stations that you can be creative and learn more about that ArtPrize category," Guyette explained.
Every week, Guyette said a different ArtPrize category becomes the focus. You don't have to pre-register, but you can just stop on by.
